FB2F community leadership and public engagement
Why communities stay at the center

Work begins with local listening, relationship-building, and a shared understanding of what is constraining dignity, participation, and opportunity.

01

Begin with lived realities and trusted local voices

Work begins with local listening, relationship-building, and a shared understanding of what is constraining dignity, participation, and opportunity.

02

Build integrated responses with communities, not around them

FB2F then aligns programs with local actors so livelihoods, education, wellbeing, and belonging reinforce one another instead of operating in isolation.

03

Steward the work toward durable outcomes

Funding, partnerships, and stewardship are organized to protect continuity over time and move communities toward productive, self-reliant futures.

FB2F local partnership work
Who we are

Faith in action. Local systems designed to keep dignity, learning, and livelihoods in motion.

FB2F carries forward a legacy of pastoral care, social entrepreneurship, and cross-border solidarity rooted in human dignity and long-horizon community stewardship.

A founder shaped by lived community realities

FB2F emerges from more than three decades of practical work by Mr. Jean Baptiste Sengayire in defense of human dignity, particularly for children and vulnerable communities across East Africa and the Great Lakes Region.

His ministry and community work in Kigarama, Kigali, helped build a culture of peace, mutual respect, and life-sharing that became a reference point for wider mission-led action.

A legacy of service remembered through action

The foundation's name honors Michael and Cornelia Bierlmeier, whose commitment to children, orphans, and vulnerable people across borders left a deep mark on those they served and partnered with.

Their example of integrity, hospitality, and practical solidarity remains a guiding reference for FB2F's ethic of service.

Mission fulfillment through disciplined stewardship

FB2F pursues its mission through fundraising, mission-related investments, and donations oriented toward accountability, productivity, and long-term social sustainability.

The operating aim is disciplined generosity tied to future-building, not a short-cycle culture of consumption or symbolic intervention.

Portfolio

Programs that translate care into productive livelihoods, learning continuity, and locally owned progress.

The public portfolio is arranged to make FB2F's operating logic clear: a lead initiative, supporting programs, and direct ways to understand how the work shows up on the ground.
